ABOLISHMENT OF FLESH

Hailing from the High Plains of West Texas, ABOLISHMENT OF FLESH was formed in 2008 by founding member Ramon Cazares. Shortly after the release of their first self-titled release the band started to hit the road. Despite the lineup changes, the band continued to perform non-stop and release additional music.

In the summer of 2011 AOF took part in a two and a half week tour supporting Shawn Whitaker of Insidious Decrepancy. In 2012 they released an EP titled “Decimation”. They followed up this release by headlining the Brutal Alliance Tour which included a full 21 dates of shows. AOF continued performing throughout 2012 at various Metal Festivals and show dates from Texas to California.

In 2013 the band again headlined the Brutal Alliance Tour which now has grown into a full 5 week long tour throughout the summer, including stops nationwide. They continued throughout 2013 with their non-stop touring schedule including stops again across the mid-west and west coast at various metal festivals.

2013 ended with the release of AOF’s second full-length album titled “Creation to Extinction”. They already have a busy touring schedule throughout 2014 in support of the new release.

Abolishment of Flesh’s new music is a blend of death/black and thrash metal. Although their music is primarily death metal, their style is not limited to one genre; instead the band continues to incorporate various heavy metal styles.

The name Abolishment of Flesh is a concept of how we as humans are our own enemies and will be the eventual cause of our own demise. Lyrical contents include war and violence, disease, corruption, anti-religion, and disasters that have impacted mankind’s way of life. Although AOF’s violent and grim nature of their lyrics is serious, their main focus is about metal music and creativity. Taking their music out on the road, they strive to not only put on a performance but a show as well.
