Founded in 2018 by former SOIL and DIRGE WITHIN guitarist Shaun Glass, Chicago, Illinois -based REPENTANCE is a primal aggressive metal band; laden thick with heavy slabs of groove mesh that bleed intensity. In spring 2018 the band released their first two demo tracks followed by a critically acclaimed debut album (“God For A Day”, 2020) and numerous shows with high profile acts such as TRIVIUM, DEVILDRIVER, JINJER, SKULL FIST, TOXIC HOLOCAUST, SACRED REICH and others, the band soon became known for their distinctive heavy yet dynamic sound, packed with details, groove and tension.

In September 2021 Repentance have announced their worldwide signing to German label Noble Demon, followed by the release of the band’s critically acclaimed latest EP “Volume I – Reborn” (2021). Five tracks of aggressive, fast-paced and technical compositions, enhanced by tight and sharp production, delivered an impressive Noble Demon debut and served as the perfect appetizer for the band’s sophomore full-length record. “The Process Of Human Demise” has been released on August 4 and features 12 brand new tracks showcasing Repentance at their strongest yet! BURNED IN EFFIGY is a neoclassical melodic death metal band from Chicago, IL.

In January 2022 the band independently released its debut album ‘Rex Mortem’ which was highly acclaimed by leading heavy music media and led to the band sharing the stage with iconic acts such as IMPENDING DOOM and OBSCURA.

Featuring Mark Smedborn on vocals, Mike Hisson and Steve Bacakos on guitar, and founding members Matt Watkins on bass alongside drummer Eddie Dec, the band have taken time in finding its sound and refining its full-length debut.
