Chris Murray is a unique force on today’s music scene. He earned a strong reputation as a dynamic performer and gifted songwriter armed only with an acoustic guitar. Life has led Chris down a musical path to the very roots of reggae music. From trading songs on acoustic guitar and singing, to jamming and recording, Chris has served his apprenticeship with the finest musicians associated with the genre. He has collaborated with countless talented musicians from around the globe, and his journeys have taken him throughout the world being inspired and inspiring people’s lives.

Cosmos Ray is a Chicago based singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ. His career began in 1995 as a hype man for Mr. Greenweedz, then a member of the Family Tree of All Natural, Inc. Since then Cosmos Ray has fronted, sang, emceed and composed for bands such as Star People, Akasha, and Heavyweight Dub. He curates the monthly all-vinyl reggae night, Simmer Down Sound and was a resident DJ for Rocksteady Sundays at The Shrine.

DJ Chuck Wren has hosted the ska radio show “Everything Off-Beat” across the Chicago dial since 1989, currently airing Wednesdays at 9 PM on WNUR-FM 89.3. Since 1993, his label JUMP UP RECORDS (www.jumpuprecords.com ) has released 200+ albums including local faves The Operators, The Crombies, Deal’s Gone Bad, The Drastics, and Green Room Rockers plus legacy US acts The Toasters, The Pietasters, Chris Murray, Mephiskapheles, New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, and top international bands Lollypop Lorry, Dr Ring Ding, The Magnetics, Out of Control Army and Los Fastidios.

“Ska night with DJ Chuck Wren” (last Thursday of the month) has been a institution at Delilah’s for 31 years. It is Chicago’s longest running ska/reggae night and has been all-vinyl since day one.
