SEAN K. PRESTON
Sean K. Preston doesn’t get gussied up for the show…he wears his cowboy hat, dirty jeans and shitkicker boots everyday. If it sounds like he sings about hard luck, lost love, long journeys, dark secrets, damnation and redemption like he’s lived through them…it’s because he damn well has.
He’s quick with the wise cracks between songs while gulping down whiskey and bantering with the audience…but when the next song starts you better believe he’ll be sweating blood to deliver the best performance. It’s Blues- Punk -Country, Rock’n’Roll….Amen
They barged into the room like they owned the place. They were fast, loud, and rude, with something vaguely seedy about them. The tall one*, quiet and brooding, took a seat at the back. The other two stood restlessly, like they couldn’t be bothered to slow down. The one on the left** was the loose cannon, making faces and fidgeting. The one on the right*** was intense, but with a sly smirk and a quick mouth. It was clear that they had been hired to start something. They were the Private Instigators, and they’re starting something soon.
As if from the soil itself, DIRTY GREEN emerged in 2005 and has continued to cultivate a hybrid of authentic, yet truly original music planted deep down in the ground of early american roots. DIRTY GREEN’s namesake comes from a song written by singer Aaron Mitchell which takes some digs on the lopsided and fictional attributes of the almighty dollar bill. Influenced by, but not limited to: american folk, Americana, bluegrass, blues, punk and early country, DIRTY GREEN offers a wide array of original ballads, blue-collar rants, pseudo-rockabilly romps, bar room jingles and a hearty batch of heart-wailing folk songs.
