Slauter Xstroyes was originally formed in the early 1980’s. Their unique sound and powerful performances have made this band an underground cult legend over the years. In 1985 they released only 500 copies of their debut lp “Winter Kill” in 1985, and if you’re lucky enough to find an original copy, it has been known to be worth almost $1500.00 or more today. Since their separation in 1990, Winter Kill was re-released in the later 90’s through Rockadome records on vinyl and cd along with their 2nd unreleased recording “Free the Beast”. In 2012, this cult metal machine reunited and have since then visited Germany and Greece along with dates in the states. Their current goal in 2014 is to recorded new music and possibly a live version of the 1985 release “Winter Kill” for their 30th anniversary and return to Greece in 2015.
Panzer was first formed in the Spring of 2009. The band first jammed on covers whilst searching for a steady bassist and solidifying their goals. After a few months Billy McCartney was added to the band and the band spent the next several months writing and rehearsing original material in addition to a shrinking list of cover tunes. The band began recording a self-produced demo of four original tracks in late February 2010, which was finished in late March. After a brief hiatus over the summer, the band has since been writing more material, and playing gigs. There are plans to re-record the demo in December 2010 and possibly record a full-length in Spring 2011.
ACT OF DESTRUCTION
In 2007 the idea began to manifest physically. The two brothers instigated several public performances with a drum machine. Quickly drawing attention, Glenn Mendoza was discovered by way of the internet. Bringing Ed Ingram into the team, Mendoza allowed the group to engage in weekly Sonic Destruction of much larger audiences, including support on sold out performances at The Pearl Room, legendary for providing the greater Chicagoland area with an elite Metal experience.
At this point the band began to closer observe their reality. This allowed them to lead entire audiences to complete Aural Satisfaction at once, stated by some fans to be, “Bringing the glory back to Metal!”
Experiencing 200 live performances by early 2010, including multiple encounters with “Chicago’s Finest” for various noise complaints and power outages, ACT OF DESTRUCTION™ began working on their yet unreleased debut full length: ‘EXTINCTION’. Ed Ingram had left the band to pursue personal goals, making way for Keith Pedziewiatr to join for a brief period. Writing was completed and drums were tracked in Summer of 2010.
As work progressed, both Mendoza and Pedziewiatr left the band in search of personal aspirations. During that time, ACT OF DESTRUCTION™ signed an exclusive deal with the ‘Scariest Man in America’ Hart D. Fisher and the American Horrors network for use of a re-recorded demo track, “Die”, for theme song and promotional purposes.
Pushing forward to bring this Music to as many people as possible, John and Nigel Bravo completed the album. Early 2012 witnessed a handful of live performances featuring Will Lange, cousin to the Bravos, filling in on Drums, and Alex Baggio, now a permanent Guitarist.
In 2014, on recommendation from a Chicago metal veteran, Jason Caruana was contacted and quickly became a permanent member of the band. Final mixing and mastering of ‘Extinction’ was completed during the summer at Lo-Tech Laboratories. ‘Extinction’ was released publicly on February 6th 2015 in Chicago and is now available at every live performance!
Will your city be next to lie upon the Path Of Destruction?
DEADMANSWAKE: Female-fronted melodic metal with a whole lot of balls.
“[DEADMANSWAKE is] a band on the verge of big things, being magnetically led by a singer whose voice could ignite the souls of even the most mold ridden corpses in grandma’s graveyard hall of fame.”
