The JetBeats

THE JETBEATS

1962. A damp, sweaty cellar on a narrow cobblestone street
in Liverpool, England. You descend down a narrow staircase
and enter a wild new world of raucous, primitive Rock&Roll played
with reckless abandon to an enthusiastic mob. On the small stage
is a group of young upstarts in leather jackets and cuban-heeled boots, pounding away a relentless beat that drives the crowd into a frenzy. This was the birth of Rock&Roll in Britain. This was the launching of the British Invasion that would soon conquer America.

This is the inspiration for Grand Rapids quartet, The JetBeats. The band was formed in 2013 based on a shared infatuation with British Beat Rock of the early 60’s. Part Rhythm&Blues, part Rockabilly, part Pop – ALL Rock&Roll. Legends like The Beatles, The Kinks, The Who, The Stones, The Searchers, The Dave Clark Five, and modern groups like JD McPherson, The Fratellis, Arctic Monkeys and Oasis provide the musical lineage.

As opposed to other bands that claim the same influences, The JetBeats capture the magic of that early 60’s sound with their own originals – done to vintage spec. A JetBeats show is a rocket ride to the fabulous early 60’s, with a contemporary twist. The gear, the threads, the tone, the LOT. The JetBeats will remind you of a time when rock&roll was fresh, wild and unjaded.

THE MONOCHROME SET

The Monochrome Set consist of, original Monochrome Set members, Bid (Guitar/Vocals) and Andy Warren (bass) with John Paul Moran (keyboards) and Mike Urban, who was previously in the band in the early 90s, on drums, The Monochrome Set formed in 1978, and were heavily influential in the ‘post-punk’ scene that evolved after the initial scorched earth of punk.

The band’s early releases were on the legendary Rough Trade Label before signing with Virgin offshoot Din Disc. They also released several albums on the Cherry Red label, making a notable appearance on that labels’ well known ‘Pillows and Prayers’ compilation.Though The Monochrome Set split in 1985 the next decade saw several reunions for both live gigs and further studio recordings, their album release count now being well into double figures.

After a hiatus of over a decade the band reformed full time in 2010 and have since toured all over the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA, whilst also releasing five new, critically acclaimed, studio albums, the most recent, ‘Maisieworld’, on the German ‘Tapete’ label in February this year.

2018 sees the 40th year since the band formed and they will be gigging worldwide to celebrate this.

LED ZEPPELIN “HOUSES OF THE HOLY”

Houses of the Holy is the fifth studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on 28 March 1973 by Atlantic Records.

The album benefited from several band members installing studios at home, which allowed them to develop more sophisticated songs and arrangements, and expand their musical style. Several songs subsequently became fixtures in the group’s live set, including “The Song Remains the Same”, “The Rain Song” and “No Quarter”. Other material recorded at the sessions, including the title track, was shelved and released on the later albums Physical Graffiti and Coda. All instruments and vocals were provided by the band members Robert Plant (vocals), Jimmy Page (guitar), John Paul Jones(bass, keyboards), and John Bonham (drums). The album was produced by Jimmy Page, and it was mixed by Eddie Kramer.

Ron Howden – drums, percussion, backing vocals (1969-1978, 2003-2016, 2019 -)
Ryche Chlanda – guitars, lead vocals (1978, 2019 -)

Kendall Scott – keyboards (2019 -)
Mick Brockett – special effects, lights and lyrics (1969-1977, 2002, 2019 -)
Nektar’s contribution over the last 49 years has quite rightly earned them their place in any ‘Progressive Rock Hall of Fame’. But the band is much more than a ‘Prog Legend’, the Nektar brand of innovative composition, performance and visuals is simply unique.
Nektar’s history appeared to have been written when they finally split in the early eighties. Despite attempts to re-kindle the flame, the Nektar light, it seemed, was out . . . until that is, the year 2000.
The new millennium saw the long awaited reunion tour of the classic line up, to rave reviews and fantastic receptions. The light we thought was out, had in fact been kept aglow – by loyal fans across the globe.
Sixteen years on and the family has grown a little, but the classic Nektar spirit is still very much alive, building on the band’s rediscovered popularity. The Nektar family is determined to continue bringing Nektar music to you around the world.

KISS KISS BANG

Kiss Kiss Bang is a classic rock n’ roll quintet born and bred in the heart of western Kentucky. Trevor Smith, Andrew Hopper, Clayton Crowder, and Malcolm Warren form a powerhouse of a raw and electric modern slam band with monstrous guitars and Eagles-style vocals that carry near constant three part harmonies. Accompanied by a thundering rhythm section of groove running bass and wild n’ out, heavy hitting drum beats that act as a constant heartbeat to the already tight and locked in showmen, Kiss Kiss Bang have been one of the top tier, heavyweights of the Bowling Green, KY local music scene for only a few years. A complete renovation from the ground up in 2018 changed not only the sound of the band, but the soul itself. Sharing stages with multiple national acts over the last couple of years have helped the young bloods get a little more long in the tooth and more the wiser at just what it takes to not only get to the top, but f**king stay there!

THE HOTS

The Hots are an Australian born, Los Angeles based hard rock band, formed by singer Foxie Kelly and guitarist Ronnie Simmons. In 2018, they released their debut EP produced by Mark Opitz (AC/DC, INXS, KISS, Rose Tattoo).

In 2019 The Hots filmed their second music video ‘Please Me’, an artistic tribute to motorcycle pop culture of the late ’60’s & early ’70’s with an emphasis on women’s empowerment. In order to capture the aesthetic and authenticity, working with creative director Meredith Devine, known for her Painted Lady series and photography work with brands like Harley Davidson. The video was brought to life by Giraffe Studios and with an all girl team. The ‘Please Me’ video was premiered at The House Of Machines in Downtown Los Angeles with artist Meredith Devine, in attendance were members of Guns N’ Roses and Nekromantix. Following the success of the video premiere, The Hots hit the road, touring the USA West Coast with Psychobilly super-group BAT! (feat. members of Nekromantix, Rezurex and Stellar Corpses).

In 2018 The Hots launched their Self Titled EP at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood and were nominated as one of LA’s Top 100 Unsigned Bands of 2018 by Music Connection Magazine. The Hots EP debuted at #1 in Washington PA on WNJR.

ROSE TATTOO

Rose Tattoo, the true rock and roll outlaws and first and last gang in town rumbled into existence in late 1976 with a New Year’s Eve debut at Sydney’s legendary Bondi Lifesaver.

The band was the vision of Pete Wells, former bassist with Sydney heavy metal kids, Buffalo, his master plan embellished by ex-Band of Light bassist, Ian Rilen.

With Wells on slide guitar and Rilen on bass, former Buster Brown singer, Angry Anderson was recruited along with rhythm guitarist Mick Cocks and drummer Dallas “Digger” Royal and they set about destroying eardrums and venues across Australia.

With the band’s enormous power came a level of internal combustion and in August 1977, Rilen left on the eve of the release of the band’s debut single for Alberts, Bad Boy For Love to form the soon to be equally infamous X

Geordie Leach who had played with Angry in Buster Brown stepped in to replace Rilen and the band’s classic self titled debut album produced by Vanda and Young was released in late 1978 with the killer singles, Bad Boy for Love, Rock n’ Roll Outlaw and One of the Boys.

Being one of the best live acts in Australia and offering up an album that made The Stones at their peak sound tame tragically wasn’t enough and Tattoo found the going tough in their homeland. Their banning from Countdown, the country’s top music TV show, allegedly after Angry and Mick Cocks appeared to kiss on camera, summed up their lot.

By 1979 Cocks and Leach had left and the band was down to a four piece with legendary Australian guitar maverick, Lobby Loyde on bass.

In an attempt to kick start the band’s career and trajectory, Loyde produced a second album in December 1979 titled Scarred but it remains unreleased.

Nothing seemed to work and one of the most unique bands on the planet was being damned out of existence.

Salvation was quietly at hand. Despite the outfit’s lack of success and recognition in Australia, their debut album was quietly gaining traction in France and Germany.

It was decided to reunite the line-up of Anderson, Wells, Cocks, Leach and Royal, record what would be the Assault and Battery album and unleash the band on audiences in the UK and Europe in 1981.

It was a masterstroke. In the northern hemisphere, Tattoo were finally showered with the respect and affection that had been cruelly withheld in Australia, their storming appearance at the Reading Festival in August 1981 a crowning achievement and powerful statement to all that the new metal gurus had arrived.

But mid way through the European tour, Mick Cocks left and was replaced by former Dallimore guitar beast, Rockin’ Rob Riley who brought with him a whole new level of volume and intimidation.

By that point, Tattoo were poised to be the clear and logical successors to AC/DC but the decision was made to return to Australia, record the Scarred For Life album and prepare for an all important American tour in late 1982.

While launching an assault on the UK and Europe had been a brilliant tactic, leaving before landing the killer blow was a critical miscalculation.

Despite doing dates with the likes of Aerosmith and ZZ Top, the Americans, more so than the Australians, didn’t know what to do when confronted with a bunch of beer swilling tattooed street toughs who played at skull splitting volume. Five years later Guns n’ Roses would take the world by storm with the ethos of Rose Tattoo but in 1982-1983, the US reaction to the Tatts was terror and confusion.

America effectively killed the band with Wells, Royal and Riley all leaving after they returned to Australia in early 1983.

Angry continued on with Leach and after recruiting new personnel made 1984’s Southern Stars album but much of the band’s original spirit was gone.

Anderson did the Beats from A Single Drum album in 1988 which was more of a solo effort and featured the hit, Suddenly and in 1990 released the Blood From Stone album, the Australian tour for which saw the singer reunite with Rob Riley to open for Aerosmith.

Pete Wells meanwhile was beginning to carve out an impressive solo career starting with 1991’s Everything You Like Tries To Kill You album.

In 1993, the stars aligned once more when the original line-up of Tattoo were asked to open for Guns n’ Roses to play two huge outdoors shows in Sydney and Melbourne before almost 100,000 people. Tatts’ drummer, Digger Royal had tragically passed in 1989 and so Oz rock veteran, Paul De Marco was drafted into the band.

The outfit kicked on powerfully from there including a near poetic appearance at Brisbane’s notorious Boggo Road prison.

Steve King, who like Rob Riley, always seemed destined to play with Tattoo, came in on bass on the eve of the band’s 2000 European tour with Kingys’ second gig a baptism of fire at the massive Wacken Metal festival in Germany which was immortalised on the 25 to Life album and also featured the return of Rob Riley.

The underrated Pain album followed in 2002 with the band’s most intimidating line-up of Anderson, Wells, Riley, King and De Marco.

But tragically Pete Wells was suffering from cancer – and he wasn’t alone.

Dai Pritchard filled in on slide guitar when Wells was too unwell to continue – he passed in 27 March 2006.

In a double blow, fellow founding member, Ian Rilen departed seven months later on 30 October after a bout with cancer himself.

With Mick Cocks back in the fold in place of Riley and now Pritchard permanently installed the Tatts soldiered on with 2007’s Blood Brothers album which included a killer version of Stevie Wright’s Black Eyed Bruiser.

When cancer also took Cocks on 22 December 2009, it seemed the Rose Tattoo circle had been permanently and irreparably broken.

But the body blows didn’t end there with drummer Paul De Marcos’ arrest in April 2014 and later imprisonment for alleged firearms offences curbing the band’s touring activity and placing the future in doubt.

A line-up of Tattoo however opened for Guns n’ Roses in Australia in February 2017 and stormed through an appearance at the Bang Your Head festival in Germany in July bathed in reverence from tens of thousands.

In the second half of 2017, after countless personnel changes in the preceding years, Rose Tattoo re-emerged like a phoenix from the ashes with their strongest line-up in more than a decade.

The outfit features early AC/DC bassist, Mark Evans who featured on so many of the band’s timeless Bon Scott era songs and former Finch, Skyhooks and Angels’ master axeman, Bob Spencer alongside Angry, long time Tatts’ slide guitar ace, Dai Pritchard and drumming giant, Jackie Barnes.

With the new lineup firing on all cylinders and making a space all their own, they decided to revisit history and what is sacred studio ground by re-recording and updating the band’s classic debut album from 1978 adding a few songs that should have had a place on the original record.

Mark Opitz, who handled the band’s original demos in the late seventies and engineered such landmark recordings as AC/DC’s Powerage and The Angels’ Face to Face, will produce the rebirthed album.

In March, the Tatts kick off a unique Australian tour with The Hard Ons and then in July, storm through Europe once more in their own right.

Honouring the past and striding proudly into the future, THE boys are back and right now, Rose Tattoo are as good as it gets and that’s no small statement.

THRONE OF IRON

Formed in the sweltering summer of 2018 in the wake of an alcohol-fueled love of the sounds of classic heavy metal and tomes of roleplaying past, Throne Of Iron is here to bring the wood paneled basement to YOU.
Originally a solo project of Tucker Thomasson (Thorr-Axe), Throne Of Iron released their 2018 Demo, with Tucker performing all instruments. The demo took off on Bandcamp, gaining the attention of writers on the site, BangerTV, and eventually No Remorse Records, who approached Tucker with a contract.
Thinking quick, Tucker gathered forces in the form of Corwin Deckard on guitar, his longtime drummer friend from Thorr-Axe, Jacob Lett, and the cleric Evan Pruitt on bass.
The four immediately descended into the basement to forge their debut full length, which is now in its final stages of formation, set to be released on No Remorse this spring.

Filling out the line-up are the infernal talents of drummer Luigi Gennaro (Shadow of Demise, S.A. Adams), guitarist Judson Belmont (Orsus) and bassist Devin Lavery.

After a successful run of Northeastern U.S. performances, the band continues to press forward with the release of a new single and upcoming live shows supporting such heavy metal masters as Warbringer, Enforcer, and Ross the Boss.

That strange shape hovering offstage may or may not be waiting to collect their souls.

Bad Planning

BAD PLANNING

With a sound that encompasses equal amounts hardcore, skate punk, and pop-punk, Bad Planning is a band that truly does things their own way. The newest recruits of Jump Start Records have been writing together since they were freshmen in high school. Now all these years later, the band is still booking their own shows, playing gigs with some of their favorite bands, and making a name for themselves in the midwest. Bad Planning writes with a sound that runs in the same vein as their fellow Chicago-based influences such as Rise Against, Alkaline Trio, and The Lawrence Arms. In 2019 they released “Splitting Hairs” alongside Chicago band A Semester Abroad, bringing on a heavier side with singles “Be Brave” and “Actors”. The four-piece, consisting of Alex Crook, Jack Coombs, Kevin Levonyak and Laurence Bactat, teamed up with Jump Start Records in May 2021 sharing a strong DIY ethos and love for punk rock. The band looks to continue playing shows in and outside of their local scene, developing their sound for future releases.

LUH KEL

TOMB

“Pennhurst / Xesse” is a new collection of rare material from the shadowy black industrial outfit T.O.M.B., featuring their ultra-limited “Pennhurst” album and the tracks from the one-sided “Xesse” 12″ previously released on Prison Tatt. Featuring all new artwork and presented in a six-panel digipack, this full-length disc delivers over an hour’s worth of the band’s bizarre brand of vile electro-acoustic noisescapes, oppressive industrial drift and ghoulish vocalizations seemingly dredged up from the dank black bowels of some long-abandoned mausoleum

MORTIIS

After Mortiis left Emperor, the Norwegian black metal band he was part of starting, in late 1992, he started Mortiis as a solo project, and released a number of solo records between 1993 and 1999.

Reinvented as a proper band, Mortiis released The Smell of Rain in 2001. Followed by The Grudge in 2004, and the remix record Some Kind of Heroin in 2006.

Disenfranchised with the brutality and hypocrisy of the record industry, Mortiis did not release a new album untill 2010, when the band self released the album ”Perfectly Defect” – as a limited edition CD, and as a free download thrugh their own website.

The next record, The Great Deceiver, was completed around 2013, but did not see the light of day, until 2016 due mostly to events beyond the band´s control. Mortiis´ personal mental health being one of them.
The Great Deceiver was finally released in March 2016.

In the fall of 2016 work started on remixing The Great Deceiver. The result was “The Great Corrupter” and features over 20 reworks/remixes of material from The Great Deceiver, by artists as diverse as Godflesh, Die Krupps. In Slaughter Natives, Godflesh, Chris Vrenna, John Fryer, Prurient, Apoptygma Berzerk, PIG, and many more. Release date has been set to April 21st 2017.

Mortiis has toured fairly consistently for the past 15 years, and has shared the stage with a variety of artists and bands spanning genres ranging from black metal, to punk to industrial and EBM. Some of the bands Mortiis has toured with are Danzig, Behemoth, Apoptygma Berzerk, Combichrist, Christian Death, Mushroomhead, The Genitorturers, Deathstars, etc.

Scott Henderson

SCOTT HENDERSON TRIO

Scott Henderson is one of the most important guitarists in the jazz history of the last 40 years.

Since the years of Tribal Tech into successful albums like “Well To The Bone” or the most recent “Vibe Station” (considered by many as his master piece), this guitar player from Los Angeles has always been at the top of his generation, being an inspiration for millions of musicians all around the world.

He is artistically in a special musical place equally close to jazz, rock, blues and fusion; He has the amazing use of the distortion and pedals of a rock player, but also the strong harmony background of a jazz guitar player. The rest, is talent and musicality.

Since 2013, Scott tours worldwide with his Scott Henderson Trio featuring the French musicians Romain Labaye and Archibald Ligonnière. Playing barely only Henderson’s music, the trio has joined a delightful interplay and dynamics that makes them enjoy being on the stage and present their fans with a fun, amazing and unexpected performance.

The trio is preparing a new album that will be released on 2018 and the goal is to go over 12,000 physical copies (sold only in one year of “Vibe Station”) plus thousands of downloads from major websites.

Chicago, IL quartet High Wire formed in 2012, when Iowa natives Cameron Jones (bass, vocals), Mark Nussle (guitar, vocals), and Chris Rymer (guitar) migrated to Chicago together in pursuit of their musical ambitions. In 2019 Joe Corson (Drums) replaced founding member Adam Harrington. The band has made a name for themselves in a thriving Chicago punk scene establishing a dedicated fan base and sharing stages with the likes of Goldfinger, Real Friends, You Me and Everyone We Know, Sleep On It, Capstan, Anarbor and more.
With their latest release Different Places, the EP is very much a step in a new direction for the band with a handful of new songs, but still retains a familiar sound that fans have grown to love since their debut. Different Places, produced by Seth Henderson (Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, Sleep On It) is a collection of songs that tell a story of personal changes and growth. It’s the journey from who you were, molded by the irrevocable changes in relationships to where you are presently, and who you aspire to be in the future. The EP is a representation both literally and physically for the band and embodies where High Wire started, where the band is presently and where they’re headed in the future.

Huckleberry Funk is a high-powered Funk, R&B and Soul band based in Bloomington, Indiana. Their live shows have earned them a reputation as one of the most exciting and entertaining live performances in the Midwest.

Hailing from Long Island, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and Bloomington, the members of Huckleberry Funk were brought together by their shared love for gritty, groove-centric music. After endless nights of self-reflection and some words of wisdom from a good friend, it became clear that “Funk” is much more than a genre – it’s an attitude. The diverse upbringings and musical styles of each band-member allows Huckleberry Funk to establish meaningful and memorable relationships with every audience they play for.

At the heart of a Huckleberry Funk show, the audience can expect powerhouse vocals, face-melting guitar solos, a touch of east coast horns, and rock-solid grooves. Drawing inspiration from artists like The Main Squeeze, James Brown, Anderson .Paak, and Miguel, their unique feel-good sound is equally funky, soulful, and hard-hitting.

Huckleberry Funk has made an impressive premiere into the live music circuit, drawing attention from national acts like The Main Squeeze, Khraungbin, Dumpstaphunk and the billboard charting, NOLA favorites, Water Seed. Wardehns

WARDEHNS

Wardehns, a three-piece heavy metal/sludge crust band from small-town Wisconsin, is coming out swinging with their new full-length Now Cometh The Foul. Comprised of vocalist and guitarist Adam Geurink, bassist Brad Beilke, and drummer Thomas Sorbet, the trio delivers eight grimy, brick-wall tracks in this follow-up to their 2017 self-titled EP. As Blessed Altar Zine puts it, this is “brutal, sludge-laden riffage that has a somewhat melodic drive about it, yet can’t help but rip your head off.” Channeling the likes of Inepsy, High on Fire, 3 Inches of Blood, Converge, and many more divergent influences, Wardehns pummels listeners with just the right mix of groove and force.
The outstanding punk encrusted intensity of ‘Denim Dogs’ makes it clear WARDEHNS are not fucking around! Sound wise, Sludge may be the template but speed wise WARDEHNS are all about an emphasis on a dirty punkish crust style cadence with a take no prisoners attitude.. This rips!

Hyborian

HYBORIAN

Swirling sounds and mysterious voices introduce Hyborian Volume I, drawing you in, as you wonder what’s going on in the audio depths. The moment the guitars burst into life on “As Above, So Below,” though – you’re hooked in. The opening cut on the debut release from the Kansas City quartet Hyborian is a powerful attack of guitar interplay, sure to appeal to any fan of High On Fire’s stoner riffage or the progressive lyrical strengths of Mastodon.

The recording is absolutely massive, but despite the stoner rock influences, there’s no sludge here. It’s clean. There’s not a bunch of effects on Hyborian Volume I. It’s stark and big: pretty much plug in, turn up, and go.

“We’re pretty big into old-school Metallica and stuff like that, but everybody in this band worships Matt Pike,” says the band’s frontman and guitarist, Martin Bush. “While we don’t really sound like Sleep, and we’re a lot more progressive than High On Fire is, that stark, straightforward raw aesthetic is really what we’re going for.”

To make Hyborian Volume I, the band built themselves a studio in the West Bottoms of Kansas City, rather than opting to put the money into recording somewhere else. It allowed Hyborian’s record to be exactly what they intended it to be.

“We thought, ‘We’ve got these songs – what are we going to do?’” explains Bush as to why the band put the money into something that can be reused and be a home for themselves. Everything on the record was written specifically for Hyborian Volume I, with the band choosing to move beyond old material.

“We don’t even really play that first group of songs anymore, because we hadn’t really figured out who we wanted to be,” Bush continues “Our sound hadn’t really been defined yet. The first group of songs were just really all over the place, and lacked focus.”

Hyborian’s focus is now razor-sharp – Volume I is a very big thing, but it’s subtle. Writing a song like “Blood For Blood,” with its decaying cyclical chug is more than just a riff-a-thon. The in thing for heavy music nowadays is to allow space for a jam, while the band drones on. Hyborian writes something, then breaks it down into its component parts, and figure out ways to create melodies and countermelodies, chord inversions, all of which really set Hyborian’s songs apart from the pack.

Lyrically, they’re looking to the low fantasy, sword-and-sorcery pulp aspect of things like Robert E. Howard’s Conan stories to give the band’s songwriting focus and direction. They’re building a mythology with the band. Lyrics, artwork, and everything tie into their concept of an interstellar, extra-dimensional being called the Traveler – that cloaked figure on the cover of the record. Hyborian is the Traveler’s chosen mouthpiece for this time in existence. He touched history, and at this place and time, so the band tells his legends from the time before written language.

From its inception two years ago, Hyborian had always pretty much been Bush, fellow guitarist and vocalist Ryan Bates and drummer Justin Rippeto. They’d gone through a couple different bass players, but it took a while to find the right guy to become a permanent fixture, and take the trio plus one into a true quartet. When Anthony Diale joined the band last year, that’s what gelled Hyborian as a group, and when the band really figured out what their strengths were, and how to carve out their own space in a very crowded world of metal. Now that Hyborian is there, they know what they’re doing and where they’re at.

“If a Hyborian cult happened to pop up, that would be fine, too,” laughs Bush.

RESURRECTION II

Authentic tribute capturing the excitement of the early Sabbath performances 1969-1971, the beginning of heavy rock.

WYNCHESTER

“Wynchester captures a unique, yet classic approach to Country Music, mixed with the familiar sounds of Southern and Classic rock.”

Mike Bray and John Konesky surely take their music seriously, but kindly with the wink of an eye. From classic uptempo barn burnin,’ truck drivin’ songs, as well as “tear in your beer” ballads, they leave no stone unturned. Wynchester has been surprising critics with their modern approach to classic songwriting; songs that tell tales, songs of heartbreak, and even some comedic numbers that will surely bring you back for another listen. It’s a memorable mixed bag of good times, time and time again.

At their live shows, Wynchester surely stands out amongst its peers. A sharp dressed high energy act that will keep your boots tappin’ till closing time. Influenced by Southern greats like Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers Band, as well as songwriters from Marty Robbins to Jimmy Webb, while tapping into the sense of humor inherent in acts such as Dr. Hook, Jerry Reed or Brad Paisley. As always, they plan to tour and make music as long as people care to listen, then again they’d probably do that regardless!

THE KYLE GASS COMPANY

What does KG do when he’s not playing with the Greatest Band in the World? He assembles an otherworldly super-team of badass dudes to back him up in his own project, The Kyle Gass Band. Along with The D’s longtime electric guitarist, John Konesky, resident Sasquatch and guitarist/vocalist, Mike Bray, mythical bass legend, “Uncle Jazz” and percussion genius/international heart-throb Tim Spier, the rollicking gentlemanly ensemble traverses hill and dale to bring earth-shattering rock and roll to the wanting 100’s. If you’re lucky enough to catch this man-herd on the road, you’ll surely count it as one of your finest living days. If you’re less lucky (but still quite fortunate) to have only cast ears on the debut recording, then consider yourself nothing short of pregnant. 2 years off-and-on, and in between Tenacious D mega-tours, the accomplished men honed their sound and forged a master-work only craft-able by the deepest knowledge of a master. Men, women, children, domesticated house pets, earth roaming wild mammals, sea-dwelling creatures of the deep, insects, species yet unknown, gods and leaders, universal truths, and earthly lies; all lay wanting in subjugation to the new interstellar constant that is the Kyle Gass Band. Get the record today, throw on some headphones, and take the journey, friends, for you have something the band can never have… The ability to listen, with child-like wonder, to the magic of song, while having no earthly clue how to create such brilliance… Such is the albatross of genius.. Such are the chains of unparalleled skill… Such is the KGB.

The Kozmic Kicks

THE KOZMIC KICKS

Super-charged, future-driven RocknRoll from Chicago, steeped in the roots of Chuck Berry, The Kinks, MC5, AC/DC and The Stooges, The Kozmic Kicks are another leap forward in the not-so-quiet rebellion of rock n roll.

THE HEROINE

Some bands define themselves with style; others prefer to use relentless touring. Still others seek notoriety with the quality of songwriting and musicianship, or with on-stage acrobatics and off-stage antics. It is rarely that a band comes along that possesses a piece of each of these “defining qualities,” yet remains defined by something else altogether: Its work ethic. San Antonio’s The Heroine is one such band. Working towards lofty (but achievable) goals is a credo that each member of this hammer-swinging, five-piece rock ‘n’ roll juggernaut lives each of his days by (four of the band’s members are contractors, while one is an aircraft mechanic). Whether the band is on or off the road, The Heroine works hard, and works its listeners harder.

KASHMIR

Kashmir was formed in late 2001, after guitarist Frank Livingston decided to form a show based on substance and feel rather than just “fitting the suit”.
“It is important to look the part, but way too often tribute bands seem to forget that without the sound, the look does nothing”.

KASHMIR is a very entertaining show bringing only the best of LED ZEPPELIN to a family oriented event. KASHMIR seeks to re-create the experience of a 70’s Zeppelin show utilizing authentic vintage stage gear, costumes, and special effects, with great attention to detail in a non pretentious way.

But most importantly, KASHMIR does not take liberties on improving the music. Led Zeppelin should be played as it was using only the equipment of the era, and should be reproduced dead on with great respect and admiration. “It’s not about us, it’s about Led Zeppelin”.

KASHMIR performs Led Zeppelin’s entire catalog including Led’s Zeppelin’s classic movie,
The Song Remains The Same.
