Sabaton are a grammis-nominated power metal band from Falun, Sweden formed in 1999. The band's main lyrical theme is that of historical wars (mainly about World War II). Their debut album Fist for Fight was released in 2001. Since then Sabaton has recorded and released 4 studio albums, the latest (and arguably best) of them being The Art of War. Although Sabaton, from the musical point of view, is your usual power metal band, they still stand out a lot in the power metal scene by being a bit more credenced then most power metal bands. Also they are musically a bit more diverse than most power metal bands.

Panzer was first formed in the Spring of 2009. The band first jammed on covers whilst searching for a steady bassist and solidifying their goals. After a few months Billy McCartney was added to the band and the band spent the next several months writing and rehearsing original material in addition to a shrinking list of cover tunes. The band began recording a self-produced demo of four original tracks in late February 2010, which was finished in late March. After a brief hiatus over the summer, the band has since been writing more material, and playing gigs.

Formed in 2008 by Award winning actor and comedian Hal Sparks, ZERO 1 had a lot to prove. Welcome to the return of a rock n roll intelligentsia. A decade ago, bassist/singer Jeremy Haffner founded popular Downtown LA art gallery/event space Hangar 1018; where he created a thriving crossover scene between modern art and live music. This led to relationships between Oedipus and such acclaimed and high profile artists as Bob Dob, Seamus Conley, and Tim Peterson; who respectively provided original cover artwork for the band’s two independent releases, 2006’s "Humbility," 2008’s "Covetous" and a self-titled European release out in October 2010 on MyMusic Records. Together with guitarist Stephen Cohen, who formed the band with Haffner as young teens; and Midwest ex-pat Keith Larsen on drums who joined in 2004, they managed to accomplish an impressive list of feats for an unsigned band. In 2011 they parted ways with their original vocalist and added A. Jennings from Winters in Osaka. Tragedy is a modern hardcore punk band, originally from Memphis, Tennessee, but currently residing in Portland, Oregon. The band formed in 2000 and was born from the ashes of influential modern hardcore bands His Hero is Gone and Deathreat.
Tragedy's music is characterized by unrelenting, heavy hardcore punk sound, punctuated by melodic interludes and downshifts in tempo, often with lyrics containing apocalyptic themes and imagery. The band and many of its contemporaries, such as From Ashes Rise, Severed Head of State and Remains of the Day, have created a recognizable sound inside the crust punk genre.

Black September arose from the depths in 2006 with their demo Contortion. Inspired by bands such as Bolt Thrower, His Hero Is Gone, Dissection and Bathory, they decided to form a band that was both heavy and aggressive, but more importantly, original. Although unrefined, the demo laid the path for the albums soon to come.
Band founders and mainstays, guitarist Chris McMorrow and classically trained vocalist Jen McMorrow, and various lineups have released four EPs to date, including a split with Louisiana’s Thou. “The Forbidden Gates Beyond,” the band’s debut full-length, originally self-released in 2010, shows BLACK SEPTEMBER firing on all evil cylinders with a steady lineup and ready to unleash their madness upon the unsuspecting masses! The band has previously shared the stage with the likes of Unearthly Trance, Skeletonwitch, Javelina, Masakari, and Magrudergrind, among others, and will hit the road extensively this year.
Throughout the past five years, BLACK SEPTEMBER’s songs have become more varied than ever, incorporating the roots of death metal but showing an openness towards different styles like black metal and doom. This release welds Jen’s looming vocals with crushing guitars and pummeling drums to generate an album teeming with musical prowess. Just the right mix of blackened touches, epic riffs, and a crushing production from Andy Nelson at Bricktop Studios make “The Forbidden Gates Beyond” their greatest work yet.

La Armada established themselves as one of the most influential bands in the Hardcore/Punk scene in their native Dominican Republic where they played countless shows and notched 2 releases under their belt. In 2007, after making a tough but groundbreaking decision to leave a land where even DIY culture is a commodity and very limited platforms existed to present their music, the band decided to relocate to Chicago.
After becoming immersed in the city’s infamous music scene and touring extensively around the country, the band became exposed to distinct subgenres including grindcore, powerviolence, crust-punk and traditional hardcore & metal sounds. These influences, fused with the band’s native tendencies towards the intricate percussion lines present in Latin music, have developed into their first proper release, a self-titled 11 song vinyl, which delivers crushing bursts of what the band has affectionately coined “Latino Hardcore Fury”. Released in late March 2012 on behalf of the Memphis, TN label Fat Sandwich Records this album successfully manages to possess the brutality and energy that bleeds out of their live shows night after night. Recorded, mixed and mastered by longtime friend and collaborator, Juan Carlos “Kanky” Lora (Marc Rizzo, Kingdom of Sorrow, Cavalera conspiracy), the record will have you raising your eyebrows and fists with its aggressive riffs, intricate song structures, piercing vocals, and driving rhythm section.
Backing up their musical delivery are sharp witted lyrics that touch on a variety of pertinent social issues such as immigration rights, globalization, and class struggle in general, the band takes on a cynical perspective on governmental authority and phoney corporate “first world” activism. Along with many of their Chicago predecessors La Armada is unwilling to compromise their native Spanish language in their music; the band addresses this usually recognized linguistic barrier by taking their live set on the road. With an extensive touring background that has taken them to every corner of the US, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic; and now with an album that truly personifies the band’s sound, La Armada will now be touring full time visiting the rest of Latin America, Mexico, Canada and Europe.

How does one describe the band Divebar? Well, first imagine Hank Williams traveling through time and having a beer with Joe Strummer. Then imagine that they decide to rent a Pinto and drive cross-country, and along the way they pick up Keith Richards and Robbie Robertson. Somewhere outside of Wichita, they run into Aretha Franklin, and she decides to come along for the ride too, but since it's only a 4-seater, they have to strap her to the roof. None of that describes Divebar in the least, but it's hilarious to picture two dead guys driving a Pinto while the Queen of Soul rides on the roof like Teen Wolf. Also, she's wearing a halter top.
Actually, Divebar is an alt-country band out of Chicago, similar in style to Wilco and Lucinda Williams. Since their formation in 2003, Divebar has built an impressive following with their crafty songwriting, rich vocal harmonies, and energetic stage presence. Their unique sound is influenced by each of the band members' diverse upbringings - the music conjures up images of the vast plains of Kelly's Texas, the rich farmland of Chris' Iowa, the carefree charm of Matt and Dan's small-town Wisconsin, and the ample parking of Aric's Evanston.

Growing up in Lowell, Indiana, Josh became interested in playing music after being inspired by Paul McCartney's bassline in the song Hey Bulldog, by the Beatles. After playing the bass guitar for years, Josh picked up his dad's old, beat-up Harmony acoustic guitar, and began to learn that instrument.
Throughout the years, Josh has written quite a number of songs, from cute and quirky (The Mustache Song) to deep and heartfelt (Chicago, Make Me Weep). Josh has been influenced greatly by Bob Dylan, Elliott Smith, and Margot and the Nuclear So and So's, just to name a few. His music is very lyrically driven and comes from the heart (and the half empty bottle of Walgreens brand wine sitting in front of him).

If you travel along the Number 1 highway (two lanes) in Nova Scotia, you'll pass through a town called Mt. Uniacke. As you enter the town, you'll see a sign that reads, "Home Of Buck 65". Buck 65 is the code name of one Ricardo Terfry. He used to wander the dirt roads of Mt. Uniacke wearing an Adidas one-piece wrestling outfit. He thought it gave him hip hop credibility, but he was wrong. He started DJing and rapping at the same time, when he was approximately 13 years of age. In 1990, he shared his work with the public for the first time. Since then, he has released more than 20 full-length albums and all kinds of EPs, singles and whatnot. He has also scored a handful of films (including one x-rated feature). He has recorded with Tortoise (post-rock muscular geniuses), Gonzales (the world's greatest living musician), Sage Francis (indie hip hop overlord), Olivia Ruiz (kind of a big deal in France) and god-knows-who-else. Name an important festival or event and there's a good 70% chance he's played it. The latest addition to Buck 65's awe-inspiring oeuvre is an album called 20 Odd Years. It features guest appearances by Gord Downie, Nick Thorburn, Jenn Grant, Hannah Georgas, Emily Wells, Marie-Pierrie Arthur and more. 20 Odd Years is probably the most beautiful hip hop album ever made.

Hailed by many as one of the most skilled and innovative lyricist since hip hop's conception, Qwel is not your average ambiguous applause monger. Seasoned within Chicago's unrelenting battle circuit, Qwel found his niche among his soon to be crew at University of Chicago's WHPK Wednesday night rap show. The show, a staple in Chicago underground history, was then hosted by DJ Natural and Kid Knish. There he would meet both Denizen Kane and Qwazaar and soon after they would form Typical Cats. The project that they shortly after released, would instantly gain both national and international acclaim. When Qwel and Maker first discussed the possibility of collaborating on the first of the four horsemen/seasons albums neither one of them could have fully known exactly what they were unleashing on the underground hip hop world. With Makers rare and completely unprecedented production style, Qwel saw an opportunity to return to true school ripping it with the proper canvas to topple topics that the cornier, true school emcees wouldn't dare. With a much more up beat and banging approach to the songs Qwel and Maker dropped one of the greatest underground hip hop albums of all time, "The Harvest".

Antisect are an English anarcho-punk band, formed in 1982 in Daventry, Northamptonshire, UK. Their debut album, In Darkness There is No Choice, was released in 1983.
Antisect were a signal band in the timeline of hardcore punk music: Their influence has been indelible upon "black-clad, politically-charged punks over the last 30 years".
The band were instrumental in bringing the subject matter of "animal rights" and "social conscience" to a punk rock audience and were among the instigators of the squat venue scene in the mid to late 1980s. Members lived the lifestyle of being either on the road or part of the vibrant London squat scene of the time. They toured extensively both in the UK and europe, before finally splitting in 1987.

With over eight years of touring internationally and 1000+ shows, the Detroit based Koffin Kats new home is on the road. This trio kicked it off in June of 2003 with the mission to not stop for anything. Vic Victor (Lead Vocal, Upright Bass) would join forces with long time friend Tommy Koffin (Guitar) and start laying the ground work for the sonic assault known as The Koffin Kats.
They put together songs with subjects ranging from Sci-Fi to dealing with the horrors of the real world. With Eric “E Ball” Walls (Drums) they began in small local bars playing for beer and eventually made their way out of the Mid West. The next couple of years proved to be up with numerous North American tours and down with drummer changes. During this time they released their first three albums - S/T (2003), Inhumane (2005), and Straying from the Pack (2006).
These releases and the tours caught some attention and helped get the name of ”The Koffin Kats” noticed in the wide world of punk & psychobilly. In 2007 Vic and Tommy hooked back up with Eric to get ready for the fourth album, Drunk in the Daylight (2008), and began what the Kats are now known for… NON STOP TOURING & TRYING TO MAKE EVERY SHOW A PARTY. With their love for their fans and for the road they set out to play everywhere willing to listen to them.
In the recent years they have been able to make a name for themselves in Europe as well and have been included on tours with some of the tops acts in psychobilly such as Mad Sin, Nekromantix, & The Meteors. In 2009 they released “Forever For Hire” and at the years end Tommy left the band to pursue a normal life. Shortly thereafter EZ Ian Jarrell took over the guitar and hopped on tour. While on the road they worked on material that would become featured on a split album with The 12 Step Rebels in released in Spring of 2011.
Now The Koffin Kats are currently on a North American Tour and have signed with Sailors Grave Records to release the next full length "Our Way & The Highway" in January 2012.

DAWNBRINGER Website
Dawnbringer began in Pennsylvania in the mid-90s. Since then, the group
has released four full-length albums, with the fifth, Into the Lair of
the Sun God, due for release in May 2012 via Profound Lore. The group very
rarely plays live, with this being its fourth performance in 15 years.
Dawnbringer's music can only be described as heavy metal, as it combines
elements from the genre's entire spectrum into its own melodic and
meditative forms. This show will serve as Dawnbringer’s record release show.

THE SKULL, the new band formed by two original members of Chicago doom legends TROUBLE — vocalist Eric Wagner and drummer Jeff "Oly" Olson — alongside the band's longtime bassist, Ron Holzner, has recruited guitarists Lothar Keller and Michael Carpenter of the Chicago, Illinois-based progressive power metal band SACRED DAWN. Their material will focus on the legendary Psalm 9 and The Skull albums.

Bible of the Devil is a four-piece high-intensity Rock n' Roll Metal band from Chicago,Illinois. With numerous albums and 7" singles to their credit, the band has carved themselves quite a niche in the heavy rock underground over the past 13 years as carriers of the flame of classic, loud, hook-filled guitar rock, yet with their own modern interpretation. The band has toured the United States and mainland Europe extensively during this period, and continue to do so in 2012, whether or not Mayan predictions of an apocalypse prove to be true. Their latest record, For the Love of Thugs and Fools, will be released this spring on Rome, Italy’s Cruz Del Sur Music.

Borrowed Time means simply that, a certain feeling from a specific time and place, lost in the vacuum of the mockingly cyclical forward march. Many others have come forward in an attempt to capture the feeling of early ethereal Heavy Metal: few have succeeded and many have caused various annoyances. Fixated on delivering archaic hard rock scripture, Borrowed Time remains sequestered in a hidden think tank with the sole mission of creating more true metal in Michigan.

ARI LEHMAN is the actor/singer who has the unique honor of having played the role of the First Jason Voorhees in the Paramount Classic Horror Film "Friday the 13th" (1980). The original "Boy In The Lake" himself, Ari played a crucial role in the film's famous final scene, in which he suddenly emerges from the icy waters of Crystal Lake. A native New Yorker, Ari grew up in Westport, CT, where he trained in Classical music and Jazz Piano.

Three Blue Teardrops formed in the fall of 1991. A three piece trio of drums, upright bass and guitar, the band began writing and performing original songs that combined elements of 1970’s punk , gut bucket blues, jungle swing, gospel, garage rock, hillbilly jazz and country harmony to the 1950’s style raw rockabilly sounds of our Rock-N-Roll forefathers to create their own contemporary sound that was not stuck in the trappings of rockabilly, psychobilly, punk, blues or any single musical sub genre.

It all started in the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley, where a young David discovered great Blues music at the local pub in the city of Arcadia. It wasnt long before False Idols was formed, they became an eclectic trio whose music style was difficult to coin. After invading the local music scene for nearly three years, the trio dedcided to go their separate ways. Meanwhile, the skills of a young musician were forming, as Dan-e took on the task of learning to play the drums.
Inevitably, Dave and Dan-e decided to join forces and establish Gamblers Mark. They had a great run the first time around, but were faced with obstacles to overcome. In reinventing themselves and reinforcing the GM unit, they decided to let Dan-e take over the upright bass and call on Ricky Lobo to take over the drums and back-up vocals. With over nine years drumming experience Ricky proved to be a good choice for the missing link.
Gamblers Mark fronted by guitarist and lead vocalist David Arechiga, with Dan-e Arechiga on bass and back-up vocals, and Ricky Lobo on drums and back-up vocals remains a trio whose style isnt easily coined. They bring together many sounds including Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Surf, Ska, Corridos para mover las nalgas, and reved up 50s rock n roll.
